Training Courses

This is an area where arc training providers and social enterprises can suggest training courses and register their interest in taking part in them.

Anybody can suggest an idea for a training course.

Social enterprises will have to pay a small fee of £30 per course day to the training provider to take part in the course. Only one person from each social enterprise can attend the course.

Social enterprises can register their interest in attending a course by voting for it. Only one registration should be made by each social enterprise. If five social enterprises register their interest in attending a course, we will develop the course (we may do this if less than five have registered).

Please only register to attend a course if you are prepared to take the time and pay the course fee to take part. If you vote on a course and we develop the course based on these votes, and then you cancel or do not attend there will be a cancellation fee.

The three arc training providers are nef Consulting, Red Ochre and Economic Change CIC.

Suggested Courses

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

        • Media training

I get asked on a regular basis to comment on topics by journalists in the press and radio. I'd like some training on how to tackle some of the more aggressive questioning and how I can be sure I say the right things at the right time and get my messages across clearly and coherently while giving them enough soundbites to ensure being quoted.
